Hello all!
Just wanted to keep everyone in the loop about what's going on with Bears! Bears! Bears! Currently our EP is being mastered by Daniel Mckenzie and should be ready real soon. I don't think we could be more excited for everyone to hear the finished product! While at our last show in Tracy we did a fun interview for Young Blood Magazine. On Friday night we played an awesome house party in Tracy. It was a killer time with good friends. The night included mighty screams, Slurpees, hair touching, bear mask sharing, dancing, you name it! If you weren't there you missed out! So for those of you who missed it, or for those who were there and want to reminisce, here are some photos from the night captured by the one and only Fran Tamse!             ...And what luck!! I never get to go to as many shows as I want anymore. This weekend however I did enjoy myself at Nickel City watching Dizzy Balloon and I must say made my weekend! I strongly recommend if you get a chance to see them you have to. They are co-headlining Slims in San Francisco April 24th and you'll definitely find me there.
Here are some pictures from the show.   Check them out at www.myspace.com/dizzyballoon I also had a chance to head over to Sylvan Music to play with some great equipment. It's one of the only places in the Bay Area that carries Matchless amps. The sound of that amp is like no other and it sure does come with a price tag too.  I think I'll be happy with my Vox AC30 for a long time though. Great selection of vintage guitars as well. One that caught my eye is a 1964 Epiphone Coronet. For the last few months we've been working our butts off to make our debut EP 'What I Do In The Dark" the best thing possible. We just finished mixing at Hyde Street Studios with Scott Mcdowell and boy let me say does it sound fantastic! Spring break has finally arrived and we're taking advantage of this long awaited vacation. For the last half of the week we'll be at Hyde Street Studios, with our buddy Scott McDowell, continuing mixing our EP titled "What I Do In The Dark". We're hoping you'll be hearing it very soon! The anticipation of finishing is killing us!
In other news: Our drummer Evan, aka Spellcheck, aka F7, aka Father Time, aka Shaquille O'Leal, aka Sack Boy, aka Sack Lunch, is working on album art and almost has it finished! We'll be posting it online to show you all ASAP! Bears! Bears! Bears! shirts are FINALLY on their way. Our pal Flo is also making more Bear Cube Plushies.
